Let’s have a fun walking tour of Kamakura with a local guide with lots of experience. We will visit 2 must-see- spots, and one more special spot that are specially picked by the local guide. We will learn about the history of the Shogun’s town Kamakura, and about Japanese Culture. There will be lots of great photo opportunities.
Kamakura is a beautiful seaside city about an hour from Tokyo. It is where the first military government of the Shogun was placed. It is a popular daytrip spot among tourists in Japan.
We will visit two “must-see” spots, Great Buddha and Hasedera temple. We will also visit another spot which is picked by the guide (ex. shrine with lots of cherry trees in spring, temple with autumn leaves in fall). The guide living in Kamakura will take you where she thinks that it is at the best on the day. We will probably ride on an Enoden train, a beloved small train that goes very close to the nearby houses.
The tour will start at Kamakura station (might change depending on the tour schedule) and will end at a certain spot in Kamakura city. The guide will accompany the guests to Kamakura Station if needed. The guide will also give recommendations on how to spend the rest of the day.
